GPU prices - will they drop?
I was thinking about this thing that GPU's got a lot pricier lately because of the mining stuff.

When mining will not be a thing anymore (or the percent of miners will be drastically decreased) will the prices for GPUs get back to normal?

I was looking to buy a 1080Ti but when I saw the spike that made it 250$ more expensive I left the idea

Older models, probably, newer ones (~2/3 years) not anytime soon.

I doubt GPU mining will die any time soon but if it did. Then yea, probably the prices would drop.

my gpus are still running from last year

Same here as Dave said, maybe in next few years. But i don't think soon price would go lower then this.

Just buy new from store with warranty and you will be ok I have for my pc 1060 Strix and i am ok with it Mining with rx 570/580 4GB

the problem is that the 1080ti would be way too overkill for my setup.
I only have a Ryzen 5 1500X and 8 GB RAM, also only HDD, no SSD

Lol get a 1060 and a SSD, only need a hundred or so GB, well depends on what games you plan to play and download on there.

the 1080ti is already on the way. I need it for streaming.
Planning to get a SSD but also use my hardware for my gopro videos. The SSD will be only for Windows and programs themselves, and HDD for data like videos or games like GTA 5

Some games would be better with ssd, just get a ssd service to get it cheaper :P

ssd service.. that's new. Mainly looking to have my streaming flawless. So it won't disturb me in-game

Older GPUs may go down in price when the new GPUs with all that crazy ray tracing shit get released.
