Do you think insects feel and perceive time?
Imagine a little fly buzzing around crazy fast.

Do you reckon it has a sense of time?
Or do you think it just goes like 'OH WOW SPEED FAST BUZZ BUZZ FOOD' and die.
i read somewhere ages ago that flies actually perceive things slower than what we would. though wouldn't surprise me if it was a fake news.

That's true.

They must do, would explain why flys are able to avoid a slap so quick
They say they do. They dodge our hands, don't they? All those pesky insects either have god-like "reflexes" or just have a "slow-motion view".

see.. smaller you are..slower the surroundings..ever wonder why in movies the ant man walks so slow when he becomes huge? small molecules collide incessantly. To them, their surroundings are slower. To us, Earth revolves slowly and so on further. Wont go in much detail. Hope i helped!

They got paid hacks XD
I’m sure they have a perception of time, that’s why centipedes are active during the night and other pests are active during the day.

or it's just because it gets too bright for them and they can be seen by predators

Indeed. They also have a perfect sense of smell if you can call it.
I think it's OH WOW SPEED FAST BUZZ BUZZ FOOD
I'm sure they have a perception of time though, just not quite self awareness.
If you think about it, the perception of 'time' is different for everyone. If we weren't taught about time, how would we perceive? That is the real question. I may be getting a little too deep hear but just think about it.

Circadian rhythms brother lol, that question has been answered by scientist's
They got good reflex and sense , which indirectly helps them to be faster..maybe everything will be in slow motion xD
I'd say it's all a matter of perception.
Similar to how you can say one year for a dog is seven in terms of them.
A rat which lives roughly two or three, they'd be old people by human definition.

With that in mind, time is very fluid, you can notice this if you were to feel a sudden adrenaline surge, where you'd likely feel as if time is standing almost still, granting you more time to react accordingly.

Whether or not they perceive time as we do, is only theoretical, however, they do experience something.
Even if their "thoughts" of it will not at all be the same as ours.
I think they feel pain, maybe not as we do but they do. IDK about all of them but I'm sure they feel pain when they lose an arm, that way they know that they lost said arm.
