Does uber ban for referrals?
I bought 12 referrals for uber and now when I try to get ride it's saying "Oops something went wrong. There was an error processing your request." Does this mean they have banned my account?>

pretty much, the "referrals" they gave you were just doubled-up users (same name info number etc) that have had no rides and they picked up that you received a few referrals from these users and revoked them, happened to me when I was using a second sim to refer myself free uber rides, was deleting my account and making a fresh one and referred myself and they found out after about 10 times.

You're from India and have been here for just over 2 months and probably think you're some big shot SE/Refunder/Referral abuser, when in fact you've read the same $5 tutorials every other fresh account on here trying to sell shit in the marketplace has read.

They don't have a strict one-user-per-device policy however if the user signing in has had no rides and has no balance and is referring users generally they get blacklisted, from his post the assumption would be that he never had access to the accounts and could not login to them which means he was not at fault at any point in time as it was the referral users that were blacklisted.

They did banned you from getting/using uber referrals discount at your account but you can still use their service at that account.
