How exactly do bans for account sharing work?

I was thinking of buying a friend some ACs using my own credit card, and I'm really concerned if that could get their account (or mine) banned. We live in similar areas too, but I'm also worried if we could get banned due to the differences in IP adress. Does anyone have experiences with this?

I've logged into their account before ONCE, though nothing happened. Just concerned now since I'm doing a transaction.

Dont exactly want to spend 20 bucks on them, 10 is enough. The minimum gifting amount is 20.

It's unlikely that they will ban you. You could try messaging their support asking them whether it would be OK, I would be tactful in how you ask the question though, especially if you are selling/trading/buying accounts already.

Seems like a good idea. I'm probably just being a little paranoid, I'll be fine as long as I'm not doing a transaction half way across the world. Besides, I'm planning to do this a long time from now so I shouldnt be worried.
