Falsely HWID banned by BattlEye

Hey, so as you can tell I was falsely banned apparently. I used a desktop overlay program (from 2008 I may add) that adds a static image to my screen and somehow this got me banned, not sure if EAC did the ban or BattlEye but I'm pretty sure it was BattlEye since I've heard that EAC does not do HWID bans.

My account is fine and I can still play on it from another computer but that's a major inconvenience for me since I don't have another computer available. Is there anything I can do?

What I've tried already:

- Contacting BattlEye and Fortnite's Support so that they can look into the matter (this will go nowhere most likely)
- Deleted all of my partitions and reinstalled everything (thought this would help)
- Changed MAC address and HWID
- Tried new Epic accounts each time I reset my computer (only reset my comp twice)

Is there no hope for me until I buy a new SSD/computer or is there something else I can do? This sucks.

Got a reply from Epic that states -

Your computer has been banned and will not be able to play Fortnite due to a violation of our EULA/TOS/Code of Conduct.

This ban prevents all players from using that computer regardless of who cheated. Attempting to bypass this ban may also disable your account.

Epic Games support is unable to remove bans from your computer upon request. For more information about our Code of Conduct, EULA, and TOS please visit the links below:

I take it as I'm not going to get any help from them, even though I replied and stated that I didn't break tos/eula etc. and all I did was use a desktop overlay that displays a static image on my screen. So unless I can find an hwid spoofer or something else I'm gonna stay banned on this computer I guess.

Hey!

There's no way around a HWID ban beside using a working HWID spoofer or actually changing the flagged hardware parts.
Getting a spoofer is way less expensive, so I'd go with that option.

Weird request, but is there any chance you could send me this overlay?
I am trying to get HWID banned on one of my PCs (don't ask why

) and I need a tool which gets detected and banned straight away.

I didn't get banned right away, but the program's name is "CustomDesktopLogo" and you should be hwid banned in a few days if BattlEye detects you. A few Fortnite Youtubers with a significant following also used this and posted videos of how to use it but I guess I was just unlucky? May have to get a new SSD.

I got a real person to actually talk to me about it, he escalated my ticket to someone higher up in Support. That person then looked at it and told me the hwid ban will stay and the program I used (CustomDesktopLogo) was not allowed so yeah. A week ago my account actually got banned (not hwid ban anymore) so I just lost 7 seasons' worth of skins since I started playing in season 1. At this point I'm just quitting, doesn't make sense to start over.

I emailed support about the account ban and they said they can't lift it even after reviewing, not even sure what I did wrong since I've never cheated, or break TOS in any way really.

wow, that really sucks to hear. hopefully epic/battleye will make this better in the future.

They most likely won't sadly. They take every precaution they can against cheaters so even third party programs that don't give an advantage in any way will still be detected, rip.

Epic couldn't give less shit about you, they already made their money and they don't give a shit about anything BUT money. Also, for them, it's easier to just tell you to fuck off and tell you they do it because they either don't want cheaters to know how to bypass their systems or just have an easier life going on with their day. Don't spend money on a SSD just to play their game, they made you unable to play then you should listen and not support them even more. Fuck Epic.

Agreed 100%. I thought about it more and I've decided to just quit, spent quite a bit on my account and never even broke their TOS/EULA but I'm still being penalized even after they "reviewed" my case twice (hwid and account ban - 2 separate tickets).

Isn't there a new update to merge accounts? merge the unbanned one with the banned one and keep your skins.

I'll test it, unlikely that it'll work though. I'm sure they have things in place to combat it.
