Has anyone ever been to Egypt?

I'm planing on visiting Cairo in March and attend the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert there, has anybody ever been there? Where did you book your hotel? How where the prices? What should I watch out for?

Nah I wouldn't go to Egypt for the reason listed above. My skin is a sin.

Can't tell you about the concert but personally i would say Cairo is a great place to visit.. I can't help you much with the prices and some things u asked but i didn't have any problems with people or hotel prices it was about 125$ or so.. btw i only stayed there for like 24 hours so yeah.. Also the hotel i booked was called Safir Hotel Cairo and it was about 2 miles away from the city center..

I've been to Egypt, I wouldn't makee your decision based off that website above.

It's a great place, really eye opening - especially in Cairo. If you're able to stay in Alexandria and travel to Cairo for the day; do it.

I'll probably stay in Cario just because I'd be close to Giza where the concert will take place. However, how were the prices like? Where did you eat? I really don't wanna spend a huge amount, I'll stay for 3 nights.

You'll have a rude awakening when you visit Cairo. Very third world, unfortunately. If you travel further south along the river to a place called Luxor, beautiful. Egypt is cheap, you won't have any issues with that. Where are you travelling from?

I don't really know about Cairo, What I know that I've been to Hurghada and Alexandria and both times were fun.

dont go if you are of the gender "female" or anything of the sort..

I recommend you to take an AR with you with at least 200 rounds, Some flashbangs and nades and don't forget a kevlar vest, wear it wherever you go even if you are swimming.
