about 2 years ago I played on a Pserver called Celestia Realms and the server wasnt that bad imo, there wasnt any insane new deadly bosses n stuff.
the server was quite simple look
• first of all I need to know that source that is, i've no clue about that and it would be nice if someone could help me find that.
•the next step would be how do I set up a pserver (guess i'll start with hamachi if friends want to play on it beacause I've no money
for VPN atm)
is there any up-to-date guide ?

the source is seraphs dominion, great features. you can find it easily just google it
the set-up is pretty standard, you will need a mysql database (I think that comes with the source, not sure), and the required programs to run it. You can find everything in tutorials on mpgh.
