question regarding save editor

so i just came back to dbd,last time i edit my save file was 5 month ago so i dont think my old cloud extractor would still works, and i heard that apparently devs of this game got their shit together and you couldnt use some hacks anymore, so my question is does save editor still works? and how? if you would like to provide links i would appreciate that too! thanks!
