Crossfire error.

I got xp service pack 3 a few days ago i downloaded crossfire installed it tried to start it it patched and then it said file changing detected and it said cf_patcher.exe error and many like that. i redownloaded cf and again same problem /fpalm can anyone say me why this happens? o.o

turn off yo anti virus

go to help section.

Change back to service pack 2..?
