No, if you want permanent assault rifles the best choices are: M416 cqb, G36E Valkyrie, AK74M and possibly but not highly recommended maybe the M6A2 SRT, M417 Combat and REC7.

G3 is like an sg550...

I'd even prefer the sg556 over the g3. [mostly because the sg556 rapes and has no recoil]

M416 cqb has good portability, decent firerate, zero recoil, and is a strong 4 hit kill gun...
