Also the US government hasn't had the best history about legally following warrants, what with the existence of Project PRISM and all. Also MUSCULAR (DS-200B), a surveillance program that has illegally broken into Yahoo and Google datacenters at the behest of the US and UK governments. In combination with DCSNet, the FBI's instantaneous wiretapping program, at any given point the government can be tracking or even listening and/or watching you through your phone.
