We say hello to the big boss Sett this patch, as well as a huge update to Sylas, League's other resident bad boy. His changes mainly focus on encouraging his role as a midlaner, while making sure players don't lose out on that signature bruisery playstyle he's known for.

Other than that, we have some QoL changes for Vi, Kog'Maw, Kassadin, and Jax, as well as some cautious buffs to champions that have proven to be menaces in pro play in the past. And finally, we're following up on our big support item changes during 9.23, tailoring them so that their users are encouraged to do more in the early game.

I'm pretty excited about the new champions, his kit is simple yet very interesting, alot of plays can be done with his kit.

Haven't even played the new adc yet doubt i'll have a chance to play the new top since i'm a mid laner but whatever. All i read for sylas was a huge ass nerf lol or is it just me?

Due to his changes and different itemization you can buy on him now; think "Ardent censer" & "Nashor's tooth", and his scalings I think he will be in a better state than before. You can play him either as a bruiser due to his numbers or a full assassin like Fizz.
Also late game numbers & ratios looking good, so that must be good for him.
Will need some testing tho.

Sylas has always been and will always be good late game due to his busted ult. Imo he feels like a worse ap version of Zed that only starts outscaling Zed at 16. All of his damage is in his E and he needs to commit to it just for poke. His kit also feels worse without the animation cancels. His W doesn't even have the dmg it used to have so he can't even have a place as a tank buster.

Other than that I'm not sure if the patch will have a major meta impact. Obviously Diana is quite worse without Ardent and I'm not sure if she will be viable. Sett's kit seems quite weak but I could be wrong. Kassa still busted (lucky me) and the only potential new busted pick is Sejuani but he still gets countered too easily in high elo.

I think Sylas would be working as an assassin that will one shot someone and die instantly after, as he has no escape tools and can't survive anything after blowing his combo.

Yea, he can definitely do that pre 16. Late game however you want him to get as many ults off so he'd have to just sit backline which is not good. Assassins that one shot a single target and die after are pretty bad though. The only champion with that role atm is Yasuo and even Yassuo can't get 50% wr in Challenger. Why would you even want to play a champion like that when other champions like LeBlanc and Qiyana can do the same thing while also surviving and/or killing multiple people?
