How would I go about implementing source code and turning it into a real cheat?

I'm a total noob and was hoping someone could point me in the right direction on how to turn source code into a cheat.

Its exactly enough information for OP to get started with. If OP has absolutely no experience then the basics of coding will help him get his head around enough with reading code to begin with the basics of c++ or c#.

As you probably have heard, learn C++, because you said you were a noob. I understand that information alone won't help, but it is necessary. I recommend learning how to code in easier languages first, so you know how it works. I started with Javascript/Typescript, to get the feel for "C-Style" languages. Once you have at least a basic understanding of coding, it's now the difficult part. When making cheats for Fortnite, you're going to need to know C and C++. You need to understand the basics of these.

What to Actually Do...
First, you need to make sure you obtain a Kernel Mode Driver. This will most likely be written in C. You would need to map that driver. You can use software like KDMapper, or something. Then you need to take your source code and update the offsets. It's probably going to be a challenge to find them, but it's possible. Once you're done with that, compile it. Then, map the driver and inject the cheat. It's most likely going to be detected, but that's because the cheat is open source..

I coded a cheat over a year ago(before the "helpful videos" came out) and since I have stopped cheating. So my information may be out of date if something has changed since 2019.

so forget about it. you can't simply turn a source code into a cheat ???
if you are interested in programming (not creating cheat codes....you need years before being able to do so), then start by taking a look at python.
it's easy to learn and well backed up
