What does Injector and MultiTool do?

As stated in the title, what does these 2 things do? Sorry that if there's an answer somewhere I don't see a search button.

Multitool is a compilation of many things, usually an injector, a website, etc. An injector is a C++ made application that can select a process *crossfire.exe* and injects a .dll into the process. This while then modify the game, with hacks of some sort.
