Is the /kick rumor true?
Apparently some people found a way to kick other players from dungeons without being host. Is this true? It's got me very interested.
You can cause people to crash or disconnect but that isn't something new that people have recently found. You could've done it 9 years ago and you can still do it today.

Sounds interesting. Can you give some more info?

Interesting! And thanks for the reply! Is the method to do this public? Or is it only available for purchase/small private groups only?

There are a variety of methods with varying success rates and setup times, some of which don't even require external hacks/hacked clients. However not only are these methods not public, the possibilities associated with selling this information are overwhelmingly negative. Hypothetically, lets say that I sold you a method (I won't, don't ask) for a handsome price. Immediately there are issues that this introduces. If you keep the method to yourself, you're an extra person that I have to avoid in-game because you could disconnect/crash me just as easy as you could to anyone else. That's a best case scenario. If you sell the method or make it public, suddenly it's fundamentally impossible to determine who might be capable of attacking me in such a way. Plus, any particular method has a higher chance of being patched as it becomes more widespread. Some of the ways to do the things you're asking are not complicated; if you're more than a script kiddie I'm sure you can figure out at least one way to do these things if you play around enough.
this guy actually gatekeeping public info, this has been released at least 2 times in the past...

I dont think trade packets still work now, so you can only dc ppl who are not in guild using guild invite packets. Also ppl on exalt are harder to crash

correct trade packets are limited now to 1 per 10 seconds

Oopsie The thought being that public disconnections will negatively impact the longevity and quality of the game. You understand that? Sharing things here that hardly effect the gameplay of other players is fine, and I'd even go as far as to argue that publicly released hacked clients increase the active playercount. The same cannot be argued for public disconnections. It's not so much about me specifically, I was trying to explain the reasoning behind why nobody with disconnection methods (that don't expose the user) are going to share them.

That's okay though, feel free to use Flutters public method that doesn't work anymore. Just hope that you aren't doing it to someone who is recording or streaming, because unlike the existing methods that don't scream "x player is trying to disconnect you," spamming packets is a nice way to out yourself as someone who doesn't play by the rules. I guess maybe we could even lock this thread; you know, because it's been answered and because methods have already been shared. Not that they actually work.
Yes there are methods to DC people but they are either public/private/patched
