I've been milking this for the last couple days. Works perfectly. Make rdr2.exe priority high in Task Manager to not get the disconnect bug.
A couple of pointers:
To milk this as fast as possible, do LOCAL deliveries only. Distance delivery takes too long and you gotta travel back to your camp.
You wanna spawn your camp as close to the set local destinations.
For example, I setup camp at Gaptooth Ridge and the delivery points are Benedict Point and Scratching Post, so spawn your camp as close to those location as possible. (To do this, just spawn it somewhere else, and spawn it back to your desired region, this would costs a few bucks)
Another one I just discovered is Tall Trees or Great Plains, it will want you to deliver it to Blackwater Dock. There's a fast travel post right next to it, so after delivery you can fast travel directly back to camp. Cost a couple bucks but you're making $750 a run and it saves so much time.
The grinding part is before Trader level 5, once you get the medium and large wagon it'll go faster exponentially.
It's great for leveling up your character too. Large wagon local delivery gives 2000XP per run so every a few runs you will level up for sure.
Also always loot bodies if you're doing Collectors as well.
