Cross Progression?

may or may not be a stupid question but still would like a clarification (: what does Cross Progression mean exactly? Does that mean there is a way to edit save files on accounts on consoles, or will this only be possible on steam/mobile and stay this way.

You will be able to use your pc account on console or console account on pc, most likely they will force players to make a behaviour account or something where you can link playstation, steam, xbox, etc accounts and your progress will be transferred to other consoles or pc. so it kinda means that you can edit saves on pc and play on console with hacked stuff but you still have a risk to get banned if reported, they might do something about this editing savefile shit when that comes live.
