Quest Loading Safety

So I've always wondered , how safe is it to load quests? (NOT TURNING IT IN OR ACCEPTING IT)

Let's say for example, you load a quest from a pet that's exclusive to owner but don't do anything else. Will you get banned or god forbid, auto-banned?

What happens though if you accept it but not turn it in?
