Downgrading DBD and Playing Online
For the past 2 hours, I have been trying to downgrade my Dead by Daylight to version 4.3.2. This is for two reasons:
-I miss the Blight's lobby music
-I miss the old animations
Please keep in mind that I have no experience in web debugging or programming. I downloaded version 4.3.2 using DepotDownloader, and have been trying for 2 hours to even get past the loading screen, as it always says something about the save file not able to be read, and when I check Fiddler (as I use it to temporarily unlock cosmetics, and have used it in this circumstance to attempt to bypass some client version checks), it says that my client version is incorrect, and to update. I fully understand that this may be an impossible task, and probably would not be compatible with the servers that are designed to receive data from the 4.5.2 version, but so far I have tried:
-Using Auto Responder to change client version responses
-Using the Auto Responder *header:Name=Value function to change the client version headers (kraken client version, User-Agent) to match the values of headers from the current version
At one point, I was able to almost get it working. It was through an admittedly stupid method of changing the response of the FullProfile traffic to match what had been output by 4.5.2.
Even if I am only able to use the tutorial, or even just access the menu without errors, I would not be disappointed. If you have any experience with what I am talking about, feel free to call me an idiot for even trying, but I would be grateful for any help.
