Decrypting the .log file?
Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to decrypt the .log file found in %appdata% local.
This file used to be unencrypted and tools were made for various purposes but now that it is encrypted they don't work anymore.

I'm really only interested in seeing who the killer is in lobby, that's all
Thank you
You can try using IDA Pro with the signsrch plugin to find cryptography signatures in the game files. Can't really help you beyond that point.
It's public/private key encryption. You'd need the private key to decrypt, only BHVR knows it. (afaik)

I dont know much about that stuff. But isnt the game decrypting the log file when it needs it? If yes, would it be possible to grab the key somehow when it get passed out?

Nope, its only encrypting it. It's possible to remove that encryption by patching the function for it (needs EAC bypass tho and is not worth it because then you can do everything you want anyways and the logs dont have too crazy information) and decrypting is only possible via a private key that only BHVR knows of, the public key used for encryption can not be used for decryption.
