Cs3 Text Engine

My PS Cs3 works fine and I can create sigs without a problem until I add a text layer when I get a popup saying "could not complete your request because something prevented the text engine from being initialized" . I have google'd and researched the problem but none of their fixes appear to work, I'm wondering if anybody else has this problem and if they had somehow fixed theirs.

Mines not a legal copy, cant reinstall.
