Crossfire how do i prevent getting scammed?

I wanna buy an crossfire west account but i wonder how do i prevent getting scammed out of my account?
will an email change be enough to prevent the seller from recovering the account?

I would check his vouches to see if he is trusted or not, if hes not id send half and then he sends info and then you send other half.
