xbox360 vs. ps3

so i was getting sick of the wii, and now i want something better with cooler games. And i don't know what to get
1.Xbox 360 elite, its much cheaper than the below, better games than ps3
2.Xbox 360 slim, very shiny and kinect ready, although kinect games look reh-tarded
3.PS3 fat, free online play
4.PS3 slim, whats the difference between this and the fat version besides hard drive space?
5. or should i just stick with my wii because both xbox360 and ps3 suck

Id go with xbox, i just like it more then ps3. it defently is worth the money for the online. and it doesnt red ring anymore despite what most ps3 users say. it just got a bad rep for that when if first came out. but ive been beating the hell out of my jasper unit and it hasnt red ringed yet. i would go with xbox, but go with what your friends have. if they have a xbox, get that. if they have a ps3, get that. (pardon the bias, i am a fanboy! :P )

Both are great consoles to be honest, PS3 has God Of War which is a great single-player game but Xbox had Halos franchise which is also good with single-player but great with multi-player. I recommend the gaming genre you play, if you like single player games more, go for the PS3 but if you like multiplayer games go for the 360.

Xbox 360 is too.. and it is worth it.

LOL The 360 arcade is garbage only if you don't know the deal. The Arcade pretty much doesn't come with a hard drive. But the 360 has a option that you can use storage devices such as flash drives, external hdd's..etc. A headset is only $20 and you get one month LIVE free.

The PS3 is basically the same [but free online] [blu-ray (if interested) - excluding more party options. And @ac1d_buRn, Your telling him that get a PS3 if you wanna play single player or alone online? Well you can't really say that because you can play with other people online, same as 360 just no cross game chat thingy [sorry that sounds noobish ].

Dude, just find out what your friends have. Go with what most of your friends have, that's if you wan't to play online with them.

Not really AKA, you can still hack the PS3 and do the 10th prestige hack, but at the same time Xbox 360 has the Jtag which you can practically do anything.
