The MPGH rules need a serious revision imo.
Rules are the foundation of the forum, and need to be well planned out, but I have the feeling that's not the case here.
Everywhere I go where MPGH is mentioned,
ppl are always talking, negatively, about it's 'stupid', 'way too harsh' and 'unfair' rules.
The general feeling about MPGH is you can get banned for something as unfair as making a, civilized I might add, free-speech post like this.
To get things straight; I don't have any problems with rules or with any staff members, (that I know off anyways..). But just because I have no problems whatsoever here, and feel like you can do a lot here that would get you banned elsewhere (fuck cunt fag), I try to defend MPGH, but.. err
I searched all over for the general forum rules.
Where the fuck are they? /
There are seperate stickies in the subforums which are almost all different.
Why the hell isn't there one global sticky with the global forum rules?
the only somewhat 'global' rules I could find, where these, by Dave:
Forum Rules
Read them, love them... OBEY THEM
* FIRSTLY -NO FUCKING TELLING ME WHO I SHOULD BAN OR WHO SHOULD GET BANNED
* SECONDARY NO FUCKING FLAMING - FLAMING RESULTS IN BAN (AT LEAST IN PUB FORUMS - KEEP IT TO PM - IF IT GETS TO BE TOO MUCH BOTH WILL BE BANNED)
* THIRTIARY - NO SPAMMING IN FORUMS THAT IT ISNT ALLOWED
* FOURTHLY - IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH A POST REPORT IT
Right, that doesn't cover half of the shit getting people banned.
Then there are some rules you'll find in the subforums, of which some are fucking assbackwards imo:
1. Detouring MPGH filters.
The MPGH filter is fucked up. Why the fuck, for example, is... wait... I can't even explain what text I mean, cos then I'd be detouring it.. but trust me it's stupid ass letters that will get censored in regular English sentences..
2. Virus scans.
What's the use? staff have to verify the attachments anyways, right?. So they'd have to do the virusscan again, to verify that it is indeed clean and the scans weren't faked. So why bother having the users post a virusscan, as if someone who would post a virus would be honest enough to put a legit virusscan on there as well..
3. Thread bumping one week or older threads.
Wtf is this bullshit?
If the bump is relevant (ie: not 'bump' or '+1' or 'why does nobody reply omgzz', but actual additional information or questions) it's always better to post in an existing thread, no?
Let's say there's a post called 'post all gsc codes here'.
If I have additional codes I want to share, but this thread hasn't been replied to in over a week, I'm supposed to make an entire new thread just for my extra codes?? (according to the rules, yes)
4. Posting new thread in new sections.
A good example of 'unfair' and badly lined out rules:
One of my first post was about a MW2 MOD. Which I posted in the section then called
Call of Duty MW2 Modding
Post all of your favorite and latest MW2 mods. Also learn how to mod MW2 and make your own MW2 mods.
I got set straight and my thread moved to the 'correct' forum, because this one was only for texture modding. /

Shortly after the subforum name indeed changed to texture modding'
