Complete Skin Tutorail [Noob Proof]

Seems like people are still having trouble installing skins so here it is I made a text tutorial and a video.
Text:
rename iw_00.iwd - localized_english_aa
iw_01.iwd - localized_english_aab
iw_02.iwd - localized_english_aac
iw_03.iwd - localized_english_aad
iw_04.iwd - localized_english_aae
iw_05.iwd - localized_english_aaf
iw_06.iwd - localized_english_aag
download attatchment, put in "main" folder of your CoD4 installation folder. Put all your skins in there

yes this works on pure and non pure servers.

Virus Scan

localized_english_aw07.rar MD5:f018dd91191a90e19655a451f7239f8d - VirSCAN.org Scanners did not find malware!

Installtion: Open localized_english_aw07.rar and extract the iwd file to your desktop then move it to you main.

localized_english_aw07.rarattachment deleted · 71 downloads before removal

EDIT2:there is something im doing wrong idk what but ill probly find it out somehow...

If you use crc32 fixer you didn't have to all this work.. it's just like mw2 skinning.

i see what my problem was... i put the file in the main cod 4 folder, not in the ''main'' folder in the cod 4 folder

i fail so hard.... i can't get it to work.....

Well you cna use CRCFixer lol but im too lazy to explain that. oh and Ipwn u mean the hex edit and all that? i dont think people will get that

@Dima, this is how I make textures (also easier for noobs to install).

1. Convert to .dds
2. Edit in photoshop
3. Convert to .iwi
4. HXD first 2 lines replacement in the new one from the original, add 4 bytes cut the last 4 ones
5. CRC32fixer
6. Just put in the folder (no need to rename etc.)

yeha yeah

i do that in MW2 but in cod4 its kinda easier if you think about it. do my way once. 2. convert,edit,convert and put back. but i dont knwo lol what ever works for them

u only need to make the fourth byte same as original at hex edit
its much easier on cod4

again...my way will save you time....think about it

BUT HELPP WITH IWI FILES LOL

does this work if you downloaded the game from steam because i followed what to do on here and steam said my files were not validated so i had to redownload the game.....
