better to right click or left click? seems like i miss a lot with the right click and i get whacked before it can hit again

you'll have to practice alot to get it down well cuz you have to time it JUST right otherwise you'll just start the really slow stab movement and be vulnerableuse a axe and run back and right click

Shovel: Always right click left click is helpful sometimes but dont storm the front with slashing. Move back left right and wait till enemies attack you and then move forward and BOOM attack them after you hit him jump back with crouch in jump and search next enemie .
You can also rush but you will die earlier.
I dont use axe often but I advise you to left click always on the head. Annoys me all the time
