UK: Woman Put Cat in Bin - Death Threats on the Internet
In Coventry a middle-aged woman was caught on CCTV putting a cat in a wheelie bin - now death threats had been made against her on the internet. The woman was offered police protection because the Coventry residents are extremely angry.
"West Midlands Police are taking her safety extremely seriously", a reporter said. The owners found their cat after 16 hours in the bin in her own mess, but still alive.
The woman was not arrested because she did not commit a criminal offence, Conventry Police said.
