[help] unpacked?

what is an unpacked file? how is it differnent than a regualr file, like why would you want to unpack engine.exe?

Packing scrambles up the letters and code basically, you would unpack Engine and Cshell to be able to read whats inside

i can read the normal engine.exe in ollydgb anyway. 1.wats difernce? 2.and is this the same as a dump file?

You can read it but it looks like a bunch of random numbers and symbols, thats because its not dumped. Same thing with a packed hack, you can read it but its random symbols and numbers that have no meaning.
