LAN File Sharing
Hey, I need some help, which file transferring protocol would be the best for file sharing between multiple computers connected to the local network.

There would be a few computers that would be "slaves" and a single computer that would act as a "master" and the "master" will continuously get new data from the "slaves" and sometime will send data back to selected slaves or broadcast to all slaves.

I know P2P could be a solution but it is terrible in LAN because the protocol was designed for use over the internet, not in a local area...
Uhm.....

Network + Networked Drives.

IE:

Main Computer with multiple hard drives sit in one room.

Other computers are on the same netwrok as this computer.

C Drive of all machines but the main will have nothing on them but OS (or whatever I guess, just thinking from a large scale business install)

Then you "Map" a drive (we call Z) to each computer.

The Z drive will have all the applications that can be shared. etc etc (btw , Z drive is one of the drives on the main computer)

Does that make sense?

TCP/IP is the way to go.
