As i heard Plasma is for dark rooms, and LCD is for bright rooms.

I didnt draw on it , its the reflection and silhouette of my bed .
I would recommend you get an IPS panel if you aren't a hardcore gamer /
Oh and check out Dell's outlet, the refurbished stuff is cheap

I Believe HDMI is to Connect to your TV. (In HD )

Ok, IPS is a kind of panel (the "color" part of a screen) and it's better than a TN (the "normal" cheap one) due to way better color reproduction, but it suffers from slight lag (personally I don't mind it most of the time and I was a very enthusiastic gamer once).
Otherwise check out the 3007WFP (not the 3008 and preferably not the -HC version) from Dell, it's a 30" LCD but has a resolution of 2560*1600. Trust me, it's epic. Once you try it you will never use a small screen again.
And HDMI is just another cable, it's for digital picture + sound.
