does texture mods even work on alteriw?

guys does texture mods even work on alteriw anymore? because every time i join a match mw2 goes black screen before it starts loading for like 1min, then the map starts loading then due to taking too long to load it disconnects me. but when i use my back up files "non texture mod" i dont get the black screen.

yes they do work.
I get that black screen sometimes when I instantly connect to a game.
