No...Kill marks are the same. The badge system is just an addition.
It will be by your name if i'm correct it's been about a month now since i got back from VN and yeah they have the badge system.Now don't worry you can mod the badges too

but i think its just an addition to the normal so i think u can still replace them...

let me get this straight for you.
the badge system will be a little badge near your name.
the badge's file location is the Mark folder in your CF folder.
you can still mod them if you want.
