What are you comp specifications..
( press start - run - type in "DXDIAG" - and then press save all data, then upload ( or copy) it here, and find out D
If you are SURE you pc is suiteble to play CS, then you can best reinstall CS and try again ( without patch first) If it works then, get another patch..
