You can start by doing something other than just adding adjustment layers..
Remove creepy red dot from pupil.

They weren't ALL adjustment layers

I didn't know you could make it worse than the original you could only imeprove but I guess you did that not saying you ruined it just saying it isn't better than the original

I think the contrast sorta kills it. What made the stock great was its lack of contrast. Everything else you did I quite like, such as the enhancing of teh bawkies (although they seem a bit noisier).
