They do. They're complimentary. Matching a cool colour with a warm colour.

However what doesnt match is a white render with a cloured background. Perhaps if you found an appropriate render it'd look bawss. Liking the effect and background though

Take a look at a color wheel.
They compliment each other.
Like Doc said, the render is just kind of throwing it off, but not a big deal.
