Iron sights

Ok so if you add a scope to say the m16 the iron sights are still there but the scope is on top of the iron sight is there any way you can have it where its just the scope on the gun not sitting on the iron sight like mw2? This probably sounds really nooby but if its possible please do it, or link me if there is an existing mod that does this thanks.
