can you use something like a gift card to buy Minecraft... like say i went to walmart and got a gift card... any kind.. which would work (if any)

For now, no. Until Notch advertises it to stores, then no.

actually, i found a prepaid debit card that does sorta the same thing.. it isnt tied to a bank account!!
