The shared account can and most probably will be banned if too many log in attempts are made from a range of IPs.

I'm not sure who is right, but I don't think G1 does bans on the basis of IPs any more. But Tweaker/Flash - they did in the past. Trust me, I've been doing this for more than just 3 years /
