[SOLVED]a tutorail on making silver

Can someone make me a tutorial on making silver skins. i want to put some silver in my texture but i don,t know how so if anyone can amke a picture tutorial or a real good detailed text tutorial i and probably others will be greatful.

It depend on what kind of silver you want
The easiest way is to play with the image itself, lowering saturation, adding contrast, and most of all playing with the specular map.

Shiny silver can be done by using a shiny specular map
