Black Ops on PC with a controller?

Hello everyone
I have a little question - is there any way to play Black Ops on PC with a controller? What controller you guys would recommend, if it's possible?

according to steam it is enabled (look at the game on store page on right side). i dont really know anything other than that because i do not see the point of using a controller over a mouse/keyboard.

Anyways, i dont know if a X360 controller works on it, try it out..if u have one lol

there is an option for it in the controls options menu so I am assuming it is supported. And frankly, something about the way that you aim in this game makes me want to use a controller. Acceleration or something was messed with and it has that strange 'lag' when aiming.
