Russian keys?

Hey guys, I have some question
I've readed the thread that says that VAC2 could be enabled in coop zombies and well, I cheated there (with trainers)
I want to ask that if I'll buy a Russian key of Black Ops, after I've activated it with a russian vpn and installed the patch that makes it in italian (my main language), can I play on normal server without problems? And if I do the Check Cache thing, it will redownload russian files?

I think it will just work, because it's Region-Free etc

But about the VPN, can you use a VPN through Steam? Since it's not a browser...

Russian keys are region locked to russia.

And I cant honestly see how VAC would ban you for SP. there are a lot of useless commands in both configs, as it seems Treyarch doesnt really know how to clean up their shit.
