heres the file i want to modify "weapon_reticle_circles_lines01" in iw07. well its 4143 bytes right? well, after converting (4,223 bytes) when i save it, as ***1 with or without mip-maps its around 800 bytes. wtf. there is no alpha in it, but no matter what option i use to save it, its around 1000 bytes. what could possibly be going on here?

can anyone help find "HOW" to modify it right.

1. only thing your doing wrong is that making gun camo's/skins that are custom are not the same method as mw2, it is under construction on how this works for me >.<

toob would know, I would know, and any other experienced texture modder out there knows this now, that modding BO is a TON different than MW2. and reticule falls under the Gun skin/cammo category anyways.

The only thing that really needs to match at this point is CRC. So add a bunch of null values in a hex editor if getting the same size matter that much to you. And no all the colors are not stored in one file. There would be no way for them to have multiple layers in it.

As of now nobody knows how to edit the guns. Only player skins can be done at this time, and gun skins are still a work in progress.
