Are we allowed to upload apps that we crack? Not in the name of piracy, but for the better evil of "trying before you buy."

If we are, I suggest an upload feature to MPGH and an approval system so we don't end up having users download viruses.

Hmmm, Better off asking a admin, It's a tough call, user cracked apps are hard to test without a device.

Best bet would be our own repository.

Testing shouldn't be too difficult. Most people that do install cracked apps are required to download "Hackulo Security" before they can install Installous. Finding someone that has the time to test multiple apps and different phones to test them on would be the bigger problem. And then we would have the trouble of users actually buying the game if they like it or deleting it afterwards. I support trial before payment but some people just keep the pirated software.

Hackulo Security is really outdated. Not ever since I installed it have I received and update.

I have a Iphone 3GS and a Ipod Touch 2nd Gen, I was never required to install "Hackulo Security". Security and Antiviruses are a option, but everyone should have one anyway.

Cracked apps are numerous, the only way for this to work safely for the community is our own repository, and only a mpgh can crack the applications, no 3rd party cracks, and we would need someone to test every app post crack before submission to the repository.

Then offer the link to the repository to be added to cydia by our members.

Your thinking to broad, there is a lot to doing this right, straight submission is just a bad idea.

Out dated but what other security do you have with installing cracked apps? Hackulo Security is required to install before you can install Installous using the hackulo.us repo.

Apps being cracked by members only is definitely a must. I wouldn't suggest otherwise. If nobody here has the time to actually make a repo, I could post a tutorial on how to SSH it into your device.

What installous version are you using?

3.3.5. I'm not outdated.
