Is the .rez file WORLDS where the maps are?
and i guess yess. I wan to make/edit texture in map how do i do it?
its a DAT file.
Will be helpful if u give me tools that are used to edit maps

Not really not alot of people in this site have modeling skills and animation skills.

Worlds contains the map files in .dat format. Decompiled, worlds are lta or ltc format. They can be edited using Dedit if you can decompile them. Textures for maps are located in textures.rez. Worlds also includes much if not all of the data that most lithtech games put in attributes.

I cannot give you tools to edit .dat files. I can tell you that, as far as I am aware, they use no compression. This is both because compressed data takes longer to load and therefore creates lag, and dat map files are about 6 times larger than their ltc equivalents. This means that you can do most of what you would like to do with hex editing. For example, you can change the directory from which the game finds textures for the map, and make a completely new rez file for textures, or you could just make the game not even attempt to look for textures, and decrease lag even further beyond removing textures.rez.

Other things that I am confident are possible or have been done with worlds.rez...
-Superbullets
-Godmode/infinite ammo in training mode or if all players in a room have coordinated modded files.
-Recoil modding. This includes changing pitch, delay, etc. I do not know if this would only be visual or would actually affect bullet trajectory.
-Long reach. This was done by sleepercell in cabin fever, allowing you to get the m32 from far away... Weapon spawning is also possible but should not work unless all people in the room as coordinated modded files, just like godmode and infinite ammo.
-OPK. I am working on this one, it should be significantly easier than superbullets, and I already have a good idea how.
-Crosshair (As in changing your crosshair to custom nx one without just drawing over it with fx...).
And there are many more but I'm too lazy to think of all the possibilities...

Well you can control where weapons spawn and where weapons go when they are dropped with worlds.

Sure you can. They are in a very similar format to the LTB's, so you can easily hex edit changes if you know what you are doing. Noob talked to me about writing a converter for them awhile ago, but IDK how far he got on it. Making one myself is on my long list of stuff to do when I have time and am not being lazy.

But I probably won't get around to it anytime soon... / ever.

Yeah, but I like the challenge of figuring it out. Making maps... not so much.
