error
well since a while i wanted to play CA again but i getting an error when i try to start up the game, something like: "CD3D_SHELL"
I Hope someone got a solution for it cuz i rlly want to play again

reinstall .

Either D3d aint installed or Combat arms cant seem to find the directx dll's located inside the main folder of combat arms.

Solution:
1. Install direct x 9.0c retribution pack.or the entire SDK u should be fine too. guess ull need to use current version of December or November (if released else the summer SDK).
2. ReInstall Combat arms.

ty allot for trying to help me but i tried both now but itt still getting me this error: "CD3D_SHELL::BuildDeviceList() // GetDeviceCaps() failed!"
some other solutions??

can you try to do this:
"Windows Button" + "R Button"
to start execute, enter in this in the textbox:
dxdiag
press enter if it doesnt run something is wrong with ur direct x? do other games run on your pc...yes or no?

when i run dxdiag it says my d3d9d.dll is slower but this is the first game i put on my pc since it crashed, therefore CA was running good

graphics card issue, probably it doesnt reach the standards.
/btw at drake aint it kinda stupid to write english to dutchies for basic matter. :/

thanks for the hint for Canyourunit now i knew what i had to update thanks allot man now its working again!!!
