Ping Verry High

Lol I was in a game playing and I just lagged like hell because I had ping at 1170, then whent back to normal and few seconds after my ping went to 2000
and I was disconected....

I have tried all Tut of how to lower pin/lagg and not even singel one worked (mine work but still makes lagg a bit...)

Well I took some screen shoots if my ping when it was at 2000 so you can help me and please dont help me saying the URL of a tut in MPGH becasuse I alredy used all of them...

I don't exactly have this as a tutorial out but you may have already seen some of the items listed here, I hope something works for you.

Ping is typically related to the quality of your internet, However follow these steps in hope of an increase in ping/FPS;

In general taking these steps will greatly reduce lag;

1. Cleaning your computer with a program such as CCleaner;

2. Optimizing your system with a program such as Tune up Utilities {Remember to defrag as well} ;

3. Closing all unnecessary programs while in game.

4. Running a virus scan prior to playing {Viruses slow down your computer entirely.}

5. Setting your graphics to low in the Crossfire game { Via Options }

6. Updating your drivers;

7. Buying a new Graphics card.

8. If your internet is shared between computers, make sure no one else is on, Or their use is limited when you play Crossfire.

9. Switching clients to one closer to your country (If available);

10. Switching servers (Try several and see if there are any improvements).

11. Refresh your system

12. Make certain your computer has enough space to keep up with Crossfire!

For a sudden increase;

It is recommended you call your internet service provider as it may be a problem on their side! {After trying all steps}

If you did all of which Evelyn suggested(except for the GPU part since that doesn't affect ping as much as it affects fps), then you're not supposed to be having any problems. Heres a tip: If you have a friend with a faster internet connection than you then try crossfire on his computer,see how it works, check the ping etc. OR boot windows in safe mode with just your network connections and then check your ping. Oh and enlighten me if its only the ping that makes you lag. Tell me your fps.
