Crossfire Issue

I keep getting the error when patching, "Wrong CRC has been detected." I posted multiple forum posts and support tickets to z8games. but they have no answer for me. Could anyone please post a fix for this issue? I have uninstalled and downloaded 2 times to see if that would solve it, with my antivirus and firewall off. nothing changed, still the same error. I havent been able to play for months. Please help.(Edit)-running vista 32bit.

Ive tried that, uninstalled and reinstalled/redownloaded and its still the same.

See if you have some virus on your PC, If not and keep not workin, format your computer ans install the latest drivers, see if works again.

I honestly have no idea how to do that. Please explain? and there is no virus on my computer. I take it in to get checked every 3-6 months because its now, almost 3 years old but yes. I dont know how to format and get the correct new drivers. (I was able to play around halloween time, after that this happened)

Well, I just read through the z8games forums and found a lot of solutions, Which work for some people and not for others, I hope something helps you.

1. The first thing you must do before trying anything else is to completely remove Crossfire from your computer. What I mean by this is, Uninstall Crossfire, but also, Use the "Search" feature on your computer (This is usually found under "Start") And look for any files Crossfire has left behind.

2. Restarting your computer may help.

3. An antivirus may be blocking Crossfire from loading correctly or patching, please make sure Crossfire in on your Antivirus' "Exceptions list". To learn how to do this, Please Use a search engine such as google.

4. You may want to run a scan on your registry for any errors, I suggest you use the "Registry" feature on CCleaner

5. You may want to reinstall Crossfire from an "Alternative Download" rather than from Z8games itself;

If nothing of that, works..Try to reinstall your windows =/ (Works Ever for ME).

Waht you mean reinstalling windows?

He means to you format your computer, like I said too.
But get the drivers first or you gonna have a useless PC.

Exactly, and if you gonna format your computer, check what drivers you must download and save them on PenDrive/CD.

Yes, And if you dont have a Pen Drive or something..
You can put in a upload site or something..

Like 4..shared.. And that things..
And when you finish the format you go download your files..

how to-

it wont let me delete some old CF files so I can install clean, how can I delte them, it keeps saying to try again but wont let me delete, help?
