Indexed Primitives are even faster.
UP is slow as, you're transferring hueg amounts of data through the bus to the graphics card, and you're also recreating the vertices each draw. ... but I don't think people are going to stuffed declaring, creating and storing vertices and indices separately and passign them on each time. Most people prefer convenience to performance.

DirectX is not made to be easy... I was made to be faster and do more than WinGDI even if it cost u ur mines.
