SECOND

no tutorial, same knowledge as the last one. did this a few days ago, internet has been down /yawn
Again, I would like to see the shatter bumped back a few frames so you can actually read the text.
This one seemed much more generic than your first though. It's a good effect, just try not to make it so simple.
A camera movement or some perspective might be a nice touch
i've only spent about a hour in total with my first and second project put together, i just figured out how to get the text itself to shatter, now i have to figure out how to make it look better.

+ idk how to bump it back a few frames to be honest, i haven't read any tutorials or seen anything helpful.
All you need to do is set a keyframe with the shatter at 0 a few frames in, then set another with the text all the way shattered further down the timeline. I wish I could go more in depth, but I'll try to answer better after school :]
thanks, all the help i can get is much appreciated.
In my eyes, good job.
very nice, cant really see thr text though.
Sorry it took so long to give you a good answer, but there is a simpler way to make the shatter start later than what I told you.

All you have to do is grab bar next to your text layer and drag it down the timeline.
Then drag the very edge of the bar back to frame one, just as shown in this handy gif

You can use this method to make any layer appear later in your scene, just don't drag the bar back to frame one if you don't want to see the layer from the start.
good job for a beginner .... learn a lot with a strong pace
Enable 3D->Camera Movement+Some starting frames without no effect

(More pieces? )
