Problem

When I run crossfire.exe I get an error message that it says: Close the game then try again. I know that I can use CF_G4 box or the patcher to play but I have a reason to run the crossfire with the crossfire.exe! What should I do?

Try reinstalling the game.

Check if you're running the executable with any special settings (compatibility / without admin rights etc)
